Genuine Beach-Found Sea Glass
Genuine sea glass is created from discarded glass items, such as bottles, jars, and glassware, which have ended up in the ocean or other bodies of water. Over time, these glass fragments are subjected to wave action, sand abrasion, and other natural processes that smooth and shape them. Only 100% genuine sea glass is used in my jewelry creations! I love walking the beach and looking for unique pieces to transform into necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and more!
Handmade
I take immense pride in hand-crafting each piece of sea glass jewelry I design. Having a deep appreciation for coastal environments, I draw on inspiration from my natural surroundings at the Jersey Shore and beyond, and try to encompass the ocean's ethereal energy in each piece. I utilize materials such as sterling silver, stainless steel, gemstones, leather, and even beach sand. Connect to the sea, and take those beach vibes with you all day.
Events and Workshops
Starting in May of each year, you can find me at the Brick Farmers' Market each Saturday! Starting in July of each year, you can find me at the Seaside Park Farmers' Market on Mondays and Fridays, as well! The LBI Sea Glass Festival is another staple event for me, which takes place at the end of September/beginning of October. In addition to attending events, I also host sea glass jewelry making workshops! During these workshops, I teach various skills such as drilling and wire wrapping. Guests are always surprised at what they can create without having any prior experience. All materials are always provided. About Sea Glass Jewelry by Kristen
I have always been drawn to the transformation and unique beauty of sea glass. Sharp and broken, having endured tumultuous storms, these discarded shards are smoothed and softened by life’s storms, and re-birthed upon our shores to begin a new adventure. Sea Glass Jewelry by Kristen was born in 2015, and my creativity has been growing, evolving, and expanding ever since. I have become an established fixture at Brick and Seaside Park’s Farmers’ Markets, teach sea glass jewelry making workshops, and sell designed pieces in various shops at the Jersey Shore. Additionally, I participate in sea glass festivals and juried art shows up and down the coast of New Jersey.
My genuine sea glass jewelry pieces are one-of-a-kind, and not only reflect my gratitude for the sea, but also hope for the future. Styles range from classic and dainty to funky and chunky! There truly is something for everyone, and…jewelry ALWAYS fits!
I’m also a full-time Language Arts teacher, and live in a bungalow near the water in Brick Township, NJ with my rescue dog, Riley. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, beachcombing, and spending time with family and friends.
